The Kanchanjunga Express, which is an express train linking West Bengal with Assam and Tripura, was involved in a tragic accident. A goods train overshot a signal and collided with the rear coach of the passenger train near Darjeeling’s Phansidewa. This incident resulted in at least 9 fatalities and around 60 injuries.

The Kanchenjunga Express train crash was a horrific collision that occurred when a freight train violated the speed restriction and crossed the signal and collided with the rear coach of the passenger train. The incident took place near New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal, only was seven kilometers away from Rangapani railway station.
